Day (9)
By Sparknewsline9jaltd
Fasting is not obligatory upon the sick person who cannot fast because of the sickness or medical advice. But he will restitute what he missed when he is cured, even after many years.
Fasting is also not Obligatory upon the wayfarer (someone on a journey) but he must restitute missed days.
Both the sick person and the Wayfarer are not supposed to feed the needy in place of restitution.
Except in the case of a person who suffers from a disease which trustworthy medical experts confirm that it is difficult to cure, then he will not restitute missed fasting. Instead, he should feed the needy in lieu of each day of fasting missed.
Evidence that fasting is not obligatory upon the sick person and the Wayfarer is base on the statement of Allah, the most High in Qur'an 2 Verse 184: "....And whoever is sick or on a journey then let him fast the number of days (missed) in other days...."
Yaa Allah, grant us everlasting blessings of Ramadan.
Ramadan Kareem.
