The Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has commenced the construction of a second flyover bridge in Benin City, Edo State.

The project, situated at the Adesuwa–Sapele Road intersection, underscores the state government’s commitment to improving infrastructure, easing traffic congestion, and enhancing urban mobility within the state capital.

In a statement, the government urged residents, motorists, and other road users to cooperate with contractors and government officials on-site throughout the construction period.

The statement read: “Edo State Government wishes to inform the general public that construction work has commenced on the second flyover project at Adesuwa Road Junction, along Sapele Road, Benin City. Residents, motorists, and other road users are kindly advised to cooperate with contractors and government officials on site, adhere to all traffic diversion signs, and make use of alternative routes during the construction period.”

The government further assured that it will continue to implement strategic infrastructural projects across the state aimed at improving road connectivity, reducing travel time, and promoting economic growth.
