Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has approved the nomination of a five-member team to constitute the Edo State Civil Service Commission.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., listed the nominees.
According to the statement, Oko-Ose Samuel Ozemhonyelea, mni is the Chairman. Other members are, Deborah O. Enakhimion; Mrs. Monica Igbadumhe; Elder David Ovbiosa Odaro (JP); Isikpe Irene Kadiri.
The statement states that the nominees’ names have been forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation in line with constitutional provisions.
The Civil Service Commission plays a critical role in overseeing recruitment, promotions, and discipline within the state civil service, ensuring professionalism and efficiency in the public sector.
Governor Okpebholo, since assuming office, has continued to emphasize reforms in the state’s civil service as part of his broader commitment to strengthening governance and improving service delivery to Edo people.
