This special occasion marked another year in the life of a man who holds a unique and celebrated position as the first SAN from the Jattu Community within the esteemed Uzairue Kingdom in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria.
Barrister Abubakar's journey culminated in his prestigious conferment as a SAN on September 30, 2024 . This momentous event brought immense pride and joy to his community, a true evidence to his three decades of strong dedication and hard work in the legal profession.
While the Uzairue Kingdom has proudly recorded other distinguished sons who attained SAN status, namely: Augustine Oyarekhua Alegeh, SAN from Ikabigbo (conferred in 2007), and Prof. Paul Oboarenegbe Idornigie, SAN from Ayogwiri (conferred in 2015), Barrister Abubakar's achievement as the pioneering SAN specifically from Jattu Uzairue holds a distinct and cherished place in the community's history.
These three legal giants collectively represent the Uzairue Kingdom's significant contributions to the Nigerian legal landscape.
Beyond his legal prowess, Barrister Abubakar has significantly impacted Nigeria's legal landscape, especially in Edo State and Kaduna State respectively.
He has served as a member of the Edo State Judicial Commission, chaired the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Kaduna State from 2007 to 2009, and been a long-standing member of the NBA's National Executive Council for eighteen years.
His SAN status brings joy to the entire Uzairue kingdom and has further empowered him in serving the community and championing justice both locally and internationally.
