The Edo State Pilgrims currently undergoing Hajj in Saudi Arabia held a special prayer session for the state and Nigeria at Arafat today. 

The prayer session, which took place on the sacred day of Arafat, a critical part of the annual Hajj pilgrimage, was led by the Chairman of the Edo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mallam Musah Muhammad Uduimoh and the Amiru Hajj, HRH the Oghieaga of Ibvie, Mallam Ali D. Sulayman among others.

Speaking from Saudi Arabia via a WhatsApp voice note, the chairman of the board, Mallam Uduimoh emphasized the significance of the day, stating, "Arafat is Hajj and it's a day of prayers as all prayers said are answered." 

He explained that the essence of these special supplications was to "request Allah to grant the government of Nigeria and Edo State in particular success" and "to make the state a better place for all."

He further added that as officials representing the Edo State government, they are keen to "seize every opportunity in this spiritual journey. Every minute counts," highlighting their commitment to leveraging the spiritual benefits of the pilgrimage for the welfare of the state and its people.

All Edo Pilgrims actively participated in the special prayer session which took place at the Edo tents in the Arafat.
