There is great reward in taking Sahur. In a Hadith, Anas Ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Allah's Messenger (SAW) said: "Take sahur, Verily there's a blessing in Sahur"
It is important to note that whatever Allah's Messenger mentioned that there is a blessing in doing it, then it is highly commendable for anyone who loves Allah's Messenger (SAW) to pay special attention to it, because, that is what will save him in this world and in the Hereafter.
In another authentic Hadith, it is said that Allah and His angels invoke blessings upon those taking Sahur.
Allah's messenger said:"All of Sahur is a blessing. Do not leave it even if one of you will only take a mouthful of water. Verily, Allah and His Angels bless those taking Sahur "
(Sahih Bukhari 1923, Sahih al-Targhib Wal-Tarhib)
