Join the Ramadan Community! The Best Time for Sahur (the pre-dawn meal)

Day (13)

By Sparknewsline9jaltd

Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) has shown that it is desirable to take sahur (the pre-dawn meal taken in preparatory to fasting) just before dawn.

This was indicated in a Hadith narrated by Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) from Zaid Ibn Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:" We took sahur with Allah's Messenger (may the peace of Allah be upon him), and then went to pray. I then asked Zaid how long it was between the sahur and the Iqaamah. He replied: As long as it will take to recite fifty verses of the Qur'an.

This Hadith is in Sahih Bukhari (1921) and Sahih Muslim (1097).

Yaa Allah, grant us everlasting blessings of Ramadan.

Ramadan Kareem.
