The Edo State Pilgrims Welfare Board has taken significant strides in its preparations for the 2025 Hajj, finalizing crucial agreements with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and the Saudi Hajj authority.

Key among these agreements currently being finalised in Saudi Arabia are those related to accommodation and catering services, essential components for a smooth and successful pilgrimage.

Mallam Musah Muhammad Uduimoh, Chairman of the Edo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, conveyed the update via a WhatsApp voice note earlier today, highlighting the importance of the ongoing meetings in Makkah.

According to him, "The essence of this meeting is to perfect all issues relating to accommodation and catering services. Accommodation is a prerequisite for the issuance of visa to any state. Without it, no state will be issued a visa. We are pleased to report that Edo State has successfully navigated this critical phase."

He further noted that while some states are still grappling with accommodation challenges, Edo State has secured its arrangements, ensuring a seamless visa application process for its pilgrims. "There are some states that are still having issues with their own accommodation, but Alhamdulillah, Edo is not one of them. Such states are being looked into as others like Edo are being cleared," he added.

The successful finalization of these agreements underscores the Edo State Pilgrims Welfare Board's commitment to prioritizing the comfort and well-being of its pilgrims. This proactive approach ensures that Edo State's contingent will be well-prepared for the spiritual journey, with essential services in place.

The board's collaboration with NAHCON and the Saudi Hajj authority reflects a concerted effort to streamline the Hajj process, ensuring a secure and organized pilgrimage for all participants.

As preparations continue, the Edo State Pilgrims Welfare Board remains dedicated to providing comprehensive support and guidance to its pilgrims, fostering a spiritually fulfilling experience.
