The Executive Secretary of the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Eranga Muhammadkabir Abdulkabir, has called on Muslims across Edo state to unite and support the Board in ensuring a seamless 2025 Hajj exercise to Saudi Arabia.
In a statement made available to *SparkNewsline9ja Ltd* ., Alhaji Eranga emphasized the importance of collective efforts to achieve the success of the pilgrimage. He noted that the Board has already commenced preparations to meet the standards and deadlines set by the Saudi Arabian authorities.
According to him, "The Board is committed to ensuring a smooth and successful Hajj exercise, and we need the collaboration of all Edo Muslims to achieve this,"
"This is a mandate we hold dearly, as entrusted to us by His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State."
Alhaji Eranga highlighted that January 31, 2025, is the deadline for payment and registration for prospective pilgrims. This is in line with the directive from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and Saudi Arabia's timeline for closing their registration portal.
He stressed that all states, including Edo, are working diligently to meet this requirement.
"As part of the global Muslim community, it is important that Edo Muslims show unity and support. This collaboration will enable us to fulfill our obligations and deliver a hitch-free Hajj experience for all pilgrims from the state," he added.
The Executive Secretary expressed optimism about the success of the 2025 Hajj, reiterating the Board’s dedication to serving the Muslim community.
Edo Muslims are encouraged to promptly complete their registrations and payments while offering their cooperation to the Board to make the pilgrimage a memorable and fulfilling spiritual journey.
