The Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board is continuing the upload of intending pilgrims’ data to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria’s (NAHCON) NUSUK portal, ahead of visa processing for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The exercise, which is part of the Board’s early preparations, is aimed at ensuring a seamless and timely processing of travel documents for pilgrims from the state intending to perform the annual pilgrimage to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Speaking on the exercise, the Chairman of the Board, Mallam Musa Muhammad Uduimoh, said the early and sustained data upload would eliminate delays and prevent last-minute challenges often associated with visa processing.
He added that the initiative would also ensure full compliance with guidelines issued by NAHCON and Saudi Arabian authorities.
The Executive Secretary, Alhaji Eranga Abdulkabir Muhammadkabir, urged all registered intending pilgrims to cooperate by providing accurate personal information and valid international passports to facilitate smooth documentation on the NUSUK platform.
According to Eranga, the NUSUK portal serves as a centralised system for managing pilgrims’ data, visa issuance, and coordination of services for the Hajj exercise.
The Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a hitch-free 2026 Hajj operation and advised intending pilgrims who are yet to complete their registration to do so promptly.
