The Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the capture of data and international passports of intending pilgrims on the MASAR-NUSUK platform as part of preparations for the forthcoming Hajj exercise.
MASAR-NUSUK is the official pilgrims’ data capture platform fully controlled by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Affairs. The initiative is designed to ensure accurate documentation, seamless data management, and full compliance with operational guidelines issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
Officials of the Board explained that the exercise will facilitate timely visa processing and enhance overall efficiency and coordination of Hajj operations for intending pilgrims from Edo State.
The Board urged all intending pilgrims to cooperate with designated officials by presenting valid international passports and other required documents to enable successful registration on the MASAR-NUSUK platform.
In a press release signed by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Eranga Abdulkabir Muhammadkabir, the Chairman of the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mallam Musa Muhammad Uduimoh, reassured pilgrims of the Board’s commitment to transparency, efficiency, and pilgrim-friendly service delivery throughout the Hajj preparation process.
He noted that the adoption of the MASAR-NUSUK platform aligns Edo State with international best practices and the latest requirements of the Saudi authorities, ensuring a smooth and hitch-free Hajj experience for pilgrims from the state.
