The Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced December 5, 2025, as the deadline for the payment and registration of intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

This follows the directive of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and aligns with the registration timetable set by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In a statement issued by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Eranga Abdulkabir Muhammadkabir, the Board noted that the early deadline became necessary due to Saudi Arabia’s strict global Hajj registration schedule, which requires states to conclude all documentation and logistics ahead of time.

Chairman of the Board, Mallam Musa Muhammad Uduimoh, urged all intending pilgrims from the state to ensure full payment of the approved Hajj fare before the deadline to avoid being excluded from the 2026 pilgrimage.

He stressed that adherence to the timeline would enable smooth visa processing, travel arrangements, accommodation allocation, and other essential preparations.

Uduimoh also called on Islamic scholars, religious leaders, and community heads across the state to circulate the information widely, warning that late payment may result in disqualification due to NAHCON and Saudi guidelines.

According to the statement, all payments and registration are to be completed at the Board’s office in Benin City, while further inquiries can be directed to the Executive Secretary via 09134281390 or through a visit to the Board during working hours.

The Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a well-coordinated, spiritually rewarding, and hitch-free Hajj experience for all pilgrims from the state.
