The Edo State Government has announced that Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo will on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, formally swear in Commissioner-designates as well as Chairmen and Members of several key state commissions.
According to a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., the ceremony will take place at the New Festival Hall, Government House, Benin City, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
All concerned persons and invited guests are expected to be seated by 10:30 a.m.
The statement listed the affected commissions as follows: Edo State Audit Service Commission, Edo State Law Reform Commission, Edo State Lottery Regulatory Commission, and Edo State Ecological Funding and Management Commission
In addition, Governor Okpebholo will inaugurate the Governing Board of the Edo State Primary Healthcare Development Agency.
The swearing-in marks another step in the Okpebholo administration’s efforts to strengthen governance structures and enhance the delivery of public services across key sectors of the state.
The event is expected to be attended by top government officials, political leaders, and other dignitaries from within and outside the state.
