Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has approved the nomination of five individuals to serve on the Edo State Audit Service Commission.

The announcement, which was made recently by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., named Odior John Osirenimhe as the proposed Chairman of the commission.

The other nominated members include Maimuna Momodu, Henry Oriabure Yakubu, Igiebor Terry, and Okojie Omoarelojie Ojie Philip

The announcement added that the nominations will now be forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for their consideration and confirmation. 

"The aforementioned names will be forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation"

The establishment of the Audit Service Commission is expected to enhance the transparency and efficiency of public expenditure in Edo State.

This move marks a significant step towards strengthening fiscal oversight and accountability within the state.
