Edo Hajj Delegation Actively Engages in Crucial Pre-Arafat Meeting in Makkah

The Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board played a critical role in a crucial pre-Arafat meeting held on Monday, June 2, 2025, in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

The meeting, chaired by the Chairman/CEO of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, brought together various stakeholders to finalize preparations for the 2025 Hajj.

Speaking via a WhatsApp voice note from Makkah, the Chairman of the Edo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mallam Musah Muhammad Uduimoh, confirmed that the meeting served as a vital platform to address a comprehensive agenda of critical issues pertaining to the upcoming Hajj rites.

 Mallam Uduimoh, who attended the meeting alongside the Executive Secretary of the Board, Eranga Abdulkabir Muhammadkabir, underscored the importance of the discussions for ensuring a smooth and successful pilgrimage for Edo State pilgrims.

He noted that the agenda for the high-level meeting included detailed briefs on essential aspects such as tent and feeding arrangements in Mina and Arafat. He added that these discussions are paramount to ensuring adequate comfort and sustenance for pilgrims during the most intensive days of the Hajj. Medical matters were also extensively reviewed, highlighting the proactive measures being taken to provide comprehensive healthcare support to all Nigerian pilgrims.

Furthermore, critical security tips were shared and discussed, emphasizing the safety and well-being of the pilgrims. The implementation and usage of the Nusuk card, a key digital tool for pilgrim identification and access to services, also formed a significant part of the agenda. Discussions around Taradudiya (transportation) and Jamarat (stoning ritual) logistics were also held to streamline movement and ensure the efficient execution of these vital Hajj components.

The active participation of the Edo State delegation in this pre-Arafat meeting underscores the Board's strong commitment to the welfare of its pilgrims. By engaging directly with NAHCON and other stakeholders, the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board is working diligently to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place for a spiritually fulfilling and challenge-free Hajj experience for its citizens.
